Film Technician Training Program
In an effort to increase the number of qualified crew members for the burgeoning New Mexico film and media industry, the New Mexico Film Office, in collaboration with the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 480, have created the Film Technicians' Training Program (FTTP). The FTTP provides hands-on, academic training to New Mexico residents interested in entering the film industry. Fully accredited as part of the Media Arts Program at SFCC, Film Crew Training offers an accelerated well rounded intensive film and video education that dovetails with many other Media Arts classes including Video Production, Digital Video Editing (Final Cut Pro), Performance, Directing and 3-D Animation.
SFCC has earned a reputation for delivering quality education at a very reasonable price. We strongly believe that keeping tuition affordable gives students more mobility after graduation. Financial Aid is available for students who qualify. Please call SFCC’s Financial Aid Office 428-1268 to see if you may qualify.
