Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Endorsement Program

image of young students The TESOL endorsement offers the necessary knowledge, skills, attitude, and awareness to support the language development and academic achievement of English Language Learners (ELLs). The eight-course program is aligned with the New Mexico Public Education Department's TESOL competency requirements.

Admission Requirements

Current teaching license from the state of New Mexico (Level I or higher)
Current teaching position with Santa Fe Public Schools or permission from the Director of Teacher Education (patricia.lee@sfcc.edu)
Six college-level foreign language credits
Completion of the SFCC TESOL Endorsement application packet.

The TESOL Endorsement Program is funded through a Title III US Department of Education Grant from the Office of English Language Acquisition.
