School of Business and Applied Technologies - Film Program
Film Associate in Applied Science (AAS)
Film Crew Certificate (CERT)
About the Program
When watching a film do you ever think to yourself, "Hey, I could do that?" or, "You know, I have an interesting story to tell?" If you are perseverant, self-motivated and a team player with a sense of adventure a film degree or certificate may be the right fit for you.
This program gives you the skills and opportunity to expand your vision and encourages you to choose a field that may lead you to screen writing, producing, directing, documentary, cinematography, film festivals, editing, animation and more. We work with local filmmakers to expand your skill base to be able to participate in the ever growing media industry.
In this program you will gain the confidence and the skills to create your own films or to help others produce and make their own media projects. You will get hands on training in all production aspects of digital filmmaking, screenwriting and film history and criticism, as well as makeup artistry. All of our classes are taught by working professionals.
