JOBS: If you are serious about a job search, you must use the Internet. Most employers are now relying on their company websites or multiple company websites to post their open positions.

HINT FOR JOB SEEKERS: Don't wait for job posting deadlines to apply! Some employers are hiring immediately and will fill the position before the deadline. As soon as you hear about a posting APPLY! This is why it's important to have an up-to-date resume and cover letter ready, that only need tweaking to fit each new opportunity.

CAREER INFO: The best way to find out about a business, organization or agency is to check out what they say about themselves. When considering a career, you might want to find out what kinds of skills and education an employer is looking for. Before you collect piles of paper documents, consider checking their website. HINT FOR GETTING INTO FEDERAL EMPLOYMENT SYSTEM:Temporary jobs are not always advertised on USA jobs and are an excellent way to get your foot in the door of the federal employment system. Temp federal jobs in the Santa Fe area may be posted on the SFCC Web-based Job Bulletin Board or you can contact local or national offices to find out if they have or expect to have any temporary positions.
